Have you ever been in shopping and you see fun little hair bands and you think to yourself 'those are so cute but I have no idea what to do with them'.....well here's a visual to get you started. This technique is even better and easier for short/ medium hair lengths. Click Here to see the Video!

Bring on the Moisture!

Fall is the perfect time to transition into a different hair routine!
Begin by Rehydrating your thirsty hair by rinsing with cool water in the shower (good for hair and body).
Use leave in conditioners specifically for your hair type to replenish moisture that has been depleted over the summer months.
And lastly - introduce a rich deep conditioner into your regime just once a week.

The 'knot so perfect' Sock Bun
 |

The PREP:
- Best on second(or third) day hair with whatever hair product that was previously there.
- Curly or straight
The TOOLS:
- Teasing comb or brush
- (maybe) a couple of bobby pins
- A sock with the toe cut out(light hair-light sock) (dark hair-dark sock)
- A workable (flexible holding) hair spray.
The RESULT:
A messy, yet secure, bun with added fullness, structure and shape.
Can be worn high (fun and playful). Low (classic). Side (trendy).
***You can even do two of them (if you have thick hair) and bobby pin them together).

Hi Everybody!
All of us at Hair People will be attending a National Hair Color Summit June 8th and 9th in Los Angeles so we'll have a colorful spectrum of ideas to share with all of you upon our return.
Did you know that Ciria, Julia, Jana, Cynthia and Maree are all DEVA CURL CERTIFIED? That means 3 things:
#1: If you are a current DEVA curl user, we are up to date with everything DEVA and can share new and fun information with you.
#2: If you are SWAVY (a little bit straight and a little bit wavy) and would like to explore your curl potential...call us:)
#3: If you or a friend are struggling with your shape or can't quite manage your Curly Q's, please call us--we can help. It's all about embracing a new regime and it all starts in the shower.
Below is a recent 'unruly' girl who had no idea that she was really a 'curly girl'.
Traffic between 1st and 6th and Josephine is very congested. Please avoid or add a little extra travel time;)

First of all... We have FREE SAMPLES of the latest addition from PUREOLOGY. Strength Cure is an amazing system for Micro-Scarred hair. So far, nothing but rave reviews from clients that have tried it. We are obsessed with the Split End Salve and the healing qualities of the Fabulous Lengths.
Next... we recently had a National Color Educator here at the salon sharing the latest WELLA color trends with us. If you are interested in trying a new technique in color, mention this and we'll let you know if you are a candidate and offer you a little discount for allowing us unleashed creativity.

And one last thing... we are in the process of throwing out our security blanket (a PAPER appointment book) and going solely with our new software. If you have any feedback or are receiving any unwanted reminder emails, calls or texts, please let us know and we'll do our best to correct it. Your patience and understanding is very much appreciated as we learn and grow. Our goal is to provide the most efficient and personalized customer service possible!
